yahhh im pretty sure what the difference is... my car is still 20k... and im pretty sure the check engine light is on due to my testpipe...

There is a slight chance if the cel is on and a coolant temp sensor or mass air flow sensor is faulty it could add more fuel, but on the other hand it could take it away and cause it to run lean.. bottom line get it checked out, the sooner the better. the longer it is on,the more faults could build up and make it harder/more expensive to diagnoss.
