Engine Oil - when to first change it and what type to use?

You guys might be right. I may have F****** up. My guess is that my break in period will be extended by a bit. Mobil 1 is routinely used in race car circuits around the world. I am sure it can take 9000 RPm's easy. We will see.
Another question. Now that I have synthetic, how often should I change my oil and filter? I am planning to do it every 3750 just to play it safe. Little pricey, but I do it myself. I firmly believe this engine will go well beyond 100K. I don't v-tec that much because I fear losing my liscense. Hit redline in first few gears.......you are over 100mph pretty before you know it.
