engine seized?
well i was driving home from work and it was a crazy storm here in tampa,Fl...long story short i was going insanely slow through a puddle when suddenly my car just shut off and wouldnt turn back on...im thinking that my aem intake sucked up water and the engine is seized. Im just looking for any other advice that would be helpful. has this happened to anyone else? does insurance cover it if it still has full coverage on it? please help...thanks in advance..
wht ever you do, don't try to crank it with the plugs in. if there is water in the cylinders you will brake stuff. water doesn't compress the war that air does, so you will likely crack a piston, brake a connecting rod, or fudge up your head.
though if you did what 99% of the people in the world would do, you cranked it right after it stalled, so the damage may already be done.
this is why i stay with my stock intake box. i would have to do something really stupid to ever hydro lock.
