Default Engine Swap Questions

I'm in the market for either a SR20 or a 2JZ motor....anyone know anything about how I can make this work and drop either into my 04 S2K? I'm leaning towards the 2JZ but would like some input as I have never attempted a motor swap before. I have a full staff of knowledgeable master mechanics at my disposal but none have ever done anything close to this on a S2K. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Come on, stock S2K motors can be blown to 400HP safely with a good tune! Save some dough and a big headache, modify what you've got!

I don't know the motors that you make reference to here.

The 2JZ is a Toyota inline six found in the Supra and others. It is longer and heavier than the F20 and does not seem to be a worthwhile swap. Not only would fit be work but a full driveline replacement would probably be needed. The extra 100 lbs in front will create a real handling challenge.

I doubt 100 lbs would make that much of a difference...

Wont it mess up the perfect balance of the s unless you add some weight to the rear as well..

Another thing would to consider is what your going to use the car for. If your just dragging it then the balance wouldn't be to big of a deal. but if you track it. it would be more of a problem.

Correct and the SR is a motor that is used in various Nissans. (i.e 200SX SER, NX2000, Silvia, etc)

The only SR motor that is rear wheel drive is the one out of the Silvia either a black top or a red top, both of which are turbo from factory pushing anywhere from 210 to 250hp.
