I am getting ready to purchase a Spoon Sports Engine Torque Damper for my car and i was just curious if anyone had any information on them. Good? Bad? Easy to install? Hard to Install?

 

What torque?

 

i like mine...i was a little confused on the install but i got it....i didnt notice much of a diffrence in performance...but it adds nice bling to the engine....if you do get it let me know if your bracket has 2 tabs on it

 

from what i've read, all the etds are the same whether you got a spoon, nrg, or j's. they just put their brand on it and a different color.

it may require cutting a hole through the plate and some have issues with the hose resting on the etd. do a search on the s2000 talk thread or check the group buy forum. there have been a few discussions on it.

 

You'll have to cut a hole through the heatshield,and,knock off the fusebox bracket.
Although the Spoon ETD,comes with a pre-cut heatshield.

 

I think you need torque to get a benefit from an ETD. If you like it though, get it.

 

The F-20,F-22 is a Torque Monster,did'nt you know that.???

 

 

just installed s2x's nrg damper.. two thumbs up! much easier to shift. less effort. and much smoother shifts!
