Thumbs up esp

I'm looking into buying a s2000 for weekend fun and trackdays. I've contacted several owners here in Belgium willing to sell. So far, all seem to have ESP, electronic stability program. And all the owners claim it is impossible to switch it off. Does this hold any truth or are they just plain ignorant. It's hard to believe a sporty car has an esp that can't be switched offf. I can't image lapping a track in an s2000 with esp makes any sense

so basically, my question is, can it be switched off. One way or another, maybe overruling it by taking out its circuit breaker or something like that ?

Regards
Bart

S2000s don't have ESP (electronic stability program). All you get is ABS and EPS (Electric Power Steering).

The S2000 also has a limited slip differential...but no traction or stability control.

Belgium must get the truly special and unique S2000 since they have the only ones in the world with stability control.

You guys confirm my suspision. There must be an anti s2000, ESP conspiracy in Belgium, to keep me from buying one.

I asked each and everyone of them (I'm dead serious, not joking):

Q: "Are you sure it has ESP" A: "yes, this was an option"
Q: "Are you really sure you're not talking about the lsd" A: "no no, it has esp"
Q: "Does it have an lsd" A:"no, the esp makes sure you don't spin your wheels and your car"

Even my local Honda dealer gave me this response !

It appears they just didn't know what an lsd is, and were mistaking it for an ESP. OR maybe everyone just thought I was an idiot, uncapable of understanding the concept of an lsd.
