Default Ever wreck your car on accident?

Im pretty anal about my car and try to keep it clean as much as possible, engine, exterior and interior. It seems the more I take care of it, the more I damage my baby.

I just scratched the bottom of the door on the curb, coming back from lunch.

Please tell me its not just me!!

Stuff like that is easy to do. I'm anal about my ride just as everyone else - but if you use the thing, something is eventually bound to happen. It's a car, it can be fixed. I used to let things like that drive me crazy; but at the end of the day, it's just not worth worrying about. Rock chips are what eats at me, so I had 35% of my latest S2000 wrapped in 3m protectant. Anything else that gets damaged can be remedied by a body shop. Little things like a scrape on the bottom of the door, or a small chip aren't going to affect the value of the car when you resell it, so why stress?

I can't say that I've ever wrecked/hurt my car on purpose. Every time I've done something bad to it it's been an accident.

I've scraped the bottom of the door across a low concrete wall, scraped against curbs numerous times. Bumped my front license plate into a really long trailer hitch. Etc.

I try not to get upset about it but I cant help it sometimes. I need to get me some of that clear coat film protectant. I usually forget about it but when I see my friends s2k and it looks spotless..........yeah, it sucks.

Oh well, its fixible.

Don't open the hood with the windshield wipers "up" for cleaning. That'll scratch the hood for you.

I'm pretty sure most of us don't wreck our cars on purpose that's for sure.

The other day I was pulling into a Taco Bell (just to use the bathroom actually) in my VR4 and some asshat was blocking most of the entrance way. I was paying so much attention to not hitting him and giving him the look (you know that look I get, Marge) that I smacked my sideskirt on the curb and put a crack in it. GRRRRR
