Default every single passenger struggles......

Driving for approx 20years I have had several different cars but I have never known so many (all) friends struggle both getting in and out of my 2000 I suppose we owners just adapt our 'entry/exit' methods to the point we don't even notice?

I find people have a hard time to find the door handle on the inside of the car. Footwell LEDs are one way, or an LED Behind the handle on the inside can help too.

Have you ever sat in the passenger seat? It's hard to get out of! I use the steering wheel to get out. Passengers have to either plant their hand on the door sill and roll out or use a lot of upper body strength to shimmy out. It's about as inconvenient to get out of as the back seat of a coupe.

Plus, the passenger side seems smaller - maybe because the dash comes toward you and the exhaust raises the floor.

I find people have a hard time unlocking the door. I agree that the passenger side does seem smaller. I tell them to use the door sill for support rather than destroying my seat bolster.

+1 on all of this. The bar in the middle of the floor, and the inaccessible door lock flummoxes everyone who gets into the passenger seat in my S (even me).

Would love to rig it where the passenger door unlocks when the drivers door is unlocked.

This link from Modifry instructs how to create a passenger door unlock switch...

http://www.modifry.com/freebies/door_unlock.htm

It's on my list of things to do, but I have not done it to my S yet.

Easier thing to do is to make it so you can use the key fob with the ignition on.

I'm surprised there wasn't a handle at the pillar to help with this. I don't find it too difficult but I think most are used to just sliding out of the car rather than turning and using their legs to lift themselves out.

And I hate people closing the door using the window!
