Evidence of 2000 Acura S2000?!
I find it very interesting that these typos weren't found...as it probably does confirm the rumors that at the 11th hour, Acura was pulled in favor of Honduh.
The biggie question is...would it be better if had an A instead of an H on the hood? Hmmm...

I agree with Humanatek- I too remember reading an article on how the S2K was originally going to be an Acura model.

"We were recently given a special opportunity - an unusual sneak peak - to sit in, to squirm under, and photograph - but not drive - a prototype S2000. Few serious details were forthcoming before its official unvailing this spring. Indeed, American Honda officials said it wasn't certain the S2000 would be badged in this country as a Honda or offered by its Acura division, though we believe the latter is unlikely." (Motor Trend, Jan. 99, p. 88).

I'm personally not fond of the whole idea behind the Acura division anyways...that it only exists in America for the "snob appeal" shows you how absurd our country can be at times. I'm glad they badged it a Honda, especially since it's commemorating Honda's 50th anniversary.
Somebody at Honda forgot to use the "find and replace" feature on their word-processing software
.
I found those things long before I got the car, when the manual was the only thing I had remotely connected to the car.

I have the Honda shop manual, which is for the S2000 and Honda S2000. There is also a distinction in the model grades, so the US model is the S2000 instead of a Honda S2000! See my thread on the VIN for more details.

I am confident that this is a pretty stupid question, but I'll ask anyway. Would Acura dealerships do warranty work on the S2000? I mean, how difficult could it really be for them to run the paperwork through the right channels? Just a thought early on Tuesday morning.
I agree with Jay Li! Acura is not a car manufacturer....it is a little badge and a marketing gimmick for people that the Honda name isn't good enough for. I am proud that Honda badged the S2000 as a Honda here...SINCE THAT IS WHAT IT IS!!!!!!!
As for ST's question...."The biggie question is...would it be better if had an A instead of an H on the hood? Hmmm..."
Is our Acura NSX any better than the rest of the world's Honda NSX?

Agreed, Acura isn't really a manufacturer in my book
But, if I had a choice between a Honda S2000 and the Acura S2000, both at the same price, I'd pick the Acura due to its longer warranty, higher level of customer service, and the roadside assistance. Acura dealers are pretty quick to give you a nice TL as a loaner if you have to leave your car there.
Those are all little perks. When you have cars that come with the roadside, you tend to cancel towing on your insurance and cancel AAA (i've personally found little use for either).
Now, having a car with no roadside, I'll have to re-instate one of those...
I'll admit, some of it is snobbery. But what surprises me is that if Acura can set an example, why can't Honda follow?
