Default Exhaust

Ok I got a ?. Im thinking its about time to upgrade the exhaust on the car. Now my question is, how good is the stock piping for flow wise? and size? Chris? Also if I had a custom setup made with mandrel bends from either mid stock pipe or where the exhaust starts its spilt would it be worth it.

I was thinking a out doing a custom probably something like an axle back change on the pipes. I was going to put just a single outlet on the car, probably where the dual pipes start. I know that there might be some gains but more for the weight savings of losing both of the mufflers and some piping.

I know that honda has that resonator pipe on the stock exhaust to help keep the buzzing above normal cruising speeds. I know that most of the aftermarket options don't have it at all. So Im trying to find a way to use the stock pipes and save the weight.
Thanks
Bryan
