HKS w/ test pipe for a street driven car.

The Invidia and most of the other exhausts for this car make it sound just like any other exhaust on a 1.5 liter Civic 99% of the time because you're only above 6 grand 1% of the time. In VTEC, sure... it's a different story but going from stoplight to stoplight with an obnoxiously loud exhaust would just be embarrassing to me. To most people who see (hear) you on the street, it sounds like you're trying really hard to get somewhere fast but are barely going anywhere.

when i researched the forums this is what i got.

-invidia is LOUD, but not as bad as camera obscura says, it doesn't sound like a civic it has a loud growl.
-The invidia has been proven to gain some power. Yes i know they're duals so you're not gaining much, but a gain is a gain in my book.
-The invidia looks better if you have an ap2 because of the bigger tips.
-Invidia is 70mm if you get the v3.
-Invidia is fully stainless, i think the hks is, but with some cheaper steel? i'm not sure someone clarify that for me
- Invidia is about half the weight of stock
-Last but not least the invidia is cheaper

this is not trying to bash the hks or other exhausts, it's just that i was in the same situation deciding between the hks and invidia, and this is how i came to the conclusion to go with the invidia. If you vtec a lot the invidia is the exhaust for you.

Ok I apperciate all the input. Yet I still don't know what to do. I might be leaning towards the invidia exhaust though. Somebody let me know if this is a mistake or not.

T1R... sounds real nice when at WOT and Vtec. And real quiet when silencers are in.

^^drone is a loud, bassy sound that basically vibrates your head and everything else in the car. every exhaust drones at some point along the rpms. getting a test pipe reduces drone.

also to the OP--> the HKS doesn't weight much less than stock. the Invidia weights like 25 lbs which is about half the weight of the stock exhaust. the HKS is made of mild steel (i think that's what the guy at Invision told me when i bought mine). the older version HKS have rust problems so don't get an old one if you're buying used (you should probably buy used because once there's no damage it's the exact same thing, and you save a BOATLOAD of money). the newer ones had the rust problem fixed i heard. you can tell an old one from a new one because the new ones don't have the holes in the tips to screw in the silencers.
