I may be pointing out the obvious, but if they are as you say (racing mufflers ment to be rebuilt) then why not just take them apart and pull the crap out ?

The motorcycle mufflers I did just had HD rivets that needed to be removed to get the end caps/ tips off.

the mufflers are not dual the system is. they are racing mufflers. well inspired racing mufflers

Just drill the rivets out...and make sure you have some to replace with.

BTW, you realise you won't gain anything by doing this other than increase noise right??
