I suppose it's obvious, but just in case: test pipes are illegal for a reason. With one, your car does a lot more damage to the air we all breathe than it otherwise would.

I don't understand the general feeling on this board: any time someone posts about speeding, someone jumps in about how terribly dangerous it is, never mind that the average S driver at high speed is a lot safer than the average SUV driver at any speed. But it's impossible to get through an exhaust thread without someone suggesting a test pipe, notwithstanding that they invariably damage the environment for everyone.

Do what you want, but understand what it.

I don't think it's really as bad as you make it out to be. If you use your argument about our car speeding compared to an SUV at legal speeds, you need to apply the same argument to the smog issue. Our car without a cat can pass smog in many cases. Compare that to the older cars, semi trucks, ect that polute far more without any modification. I'm pretty sure my S would be better for the environment with the cat removed than some gas-guzzling truck I could have purchased instead.

Just my $.02

Are you looking to gain power or just sound? If you only want sound, then go with HKS. However, if you want any power over stock, you pretty much have to go with a single exhaust. The T1R and ASM single exhausts make power, but are fairly quiet. The HKS and Invidia have the best sounds according to most people on the forums but they are louder.
