'Exhausting' decision
I finally bought a cat-back exhaust. I was really close to getting the Neuspeed, and was bummed when I missed out on the group buy, but started to worry when the melting bumpers started to show up. Then I began to consider the Borla, since it basically the same as the Neuspeed, but couldn't get any info from Borla on the diameter of the tips. Borla's customer service really leaves something to be desired.
I decided to bite the bullet and fork out some extra bucks on Comptech's cat-back. For looks, it was the system I liked the best but there were two problems: 1) I've never heard one in person, and 2) it was more expensive. I took a chance and ordered one from Bob at Comptech. Bob was very helpful -- he answered all of my questions, promptly followed-up on things he couldn't answer right away, and had my cat-back shipped out ASAP and delivered the next day! All I have to say is that it is an awesome cat-back. It's perfectly built, beautifully finished and polished (very classy looking), and sounds great.
The sound is very noticeable around town (low rumble) but mellows out around 4000 rpm so highway driving should be as it was before. It does get a little boomy at certain low revs with the top up but hopefully it will quiet down just a bit as I put more miles on it.
I think I made the right choice and think it's worth the money.

I actually did get the neuspeed, and it was very "boomy" when first installed, and it broke in and got a lil' quieter.
I must agree that the comptech is a very high quality piece. I think its the best looking one I have seen, thats about 5 or 6 in person.
I only got to hear it pass me, and sit at idle, so I didnt hear too much to compare with, but I recall it was very nice.
Have fun!

I have had my Comptech exhaust for ~ a month now but haven't had the chance to hear it. Fit and finish is exceptional...
Whenever I get my engine back together I will get a chance to hear it... I'm glad you like yours!
