Experience renting S2000 on Turo

I've been tempted to buy a second S2000 and leave it stock. With a car like that, I could see the risk/reward of Turo make sense. For a car that's optimized more for track but still street legal as mine is, I'd be nervous that someone would lose control just by driving aggressively. We see a lot of people on this site talk about how the car oversteers so easily - and I suspect that it's at least in part because they grew up on FWD cars. I'd be nervous that the renter learned that lesson on my car. But perhaps with some careful selection of tires (maintain stagger and choose less grippy) and tire pressures, one could mitigate that ...

Unless you want to do a full time business with a boatload of cars to rent and employees to make it happen, you are better off putting 20% of your income (starting with your first job)n and socking it away in a Roth IRA.
You will have far more money after 40-50 years of savings.

Yeah, if you tend to enjoy tinkering with cars for the sake of tinkering with cars and have one that's not exactly a garage queen then I suppose that option might make sense. I could never imagine doing such a thing. But I could see how this might be a fun way for some S2K owners to turn other people on to just what a great car this is.

I think this is pretty cool. Something I’ve considered. At least it would get driven and make me money, as opposed to sitting there and costing me money. The inconvenience of it is what turns me off. Have to drive all around the city to get people the car, blah.

As mentioned, what if they damage it mechanically? Burn up the clutch, grenade the diff, roast the tires up?
Perhaps worse, what if the damage they cause isn't immediately obvious? You wouldn't know who to blame when an expensive issue finally does show up.
This seems like a large risk.
Here is what you do. Get a high reny worthy car known for its luxury, not its performance. Turo that out. Use that as your second car. Drive the S when the luxo barge is out for rent.
