frankly I have no idea how that came up...
pedale is also used for bicycles, so maybe something to do with the saddle (is that the name anyway?) and its evocative shape...

Ming is my last name, and since "Richardster" sounds weird, Mingster will have to do. And it's also my nickname back in high school o' so many years ago.

Ted is my first name; in high school and college I got called Tedly, Tedrick, and Tedster. Since the S2000 is a roadster, Tedster seemed most appropriate.

All my friends call my car a panty dropper.
They say that the car has gone to waste, since I already have a woman.

But the first time my car got called that is when I first bought it. My girlfriend went to work (she worked with a bunch of guys at the time) and told them about the car that I had bought. Well, they then proceeded to explain to her how she is history. They convinced her that the only reason a guy buys a car like that is to pick up women.
A panty dropper!


So she came home all upset asking me if I am really going to leave her. I just laughed (which probably made things worse) and the name stuck with the car since then.
