How do they get 30mpg? Is it the gas? A different version of the engine? A different gallon?

Also, why did the guy from Automobile say it revs with "gay abandon"? -- not that there is anything wrong with that. I've always thought the oft-used "angry" description was more accurate.

 

Probably UK gallons, I reckon I get between 27 and 30mpg generally, so it looks about right on this side of the pond.
(I think our gallons are a different size to yours?!?)

1 imp gal = 4.55 litres
1 US gal = 3.78 liters?

So there is about a 20% difference in mpg numbers.

 

That'd be about a 24mpg for you guys then - does that seem right?

 

A friend of mine works for Honda and he thinks that the S2K engine will be on the 10 best lists for a long time.
