I was coming back from Gladstones on Sunset Blvd, a very hilly and winding road around 9pm. It gets pretty dark there and it's hard to see the oncoming traffic because of all the turns.
At the time I was thinking this is pretty sweet because I can finally see how my car handles. But as I was getting this thought I saw a single headlight coming across to my lane from the other side, directly towards me. I swerved left and the motorcyclist who fell and slid across the road right in front of me missed me by no more than a couple of feet. I pulled over and ran towards where he was. Luckily, he got up and said he was fine and that he's brakes failed on him.
It just reminded me no matter how much I love to drive my car, crazy and unexpected things can happen.....If I didn't react in time I could have run this guy over at 40mph....to just even to think what would have happened psyches me out.....

 

A very happy ending for the biker, indeed! I own a Honda Valyrie as well as the S2K and appreciate both driver's and rider's points of view. You can never be too careful when riding the two wheeled one. They are both grand to drive in their own right, however the biker always loses!
