Default Factory Alarm

does the oem alarm honk the horn when triggered and does it include a flashing led on the dash?

Im just confused, because I have an 03 accord with keyless entry (no oem alarm to my knowledge) and if the car is locked and if the doors are opened and unlocked without the key it will sound the horn.

S does not come with an OEM alarm. I have an 07 and there is a blinking light on the stereo indicating the stereo is locked, but there is no alarm in the car.

That would be because your Accord has an OEM alarm. If the horn sounds when you open the doors without a key, you have an alarm (it is probably standard on the Accord). The S2000 has no stanadard OEM alarm. The only "Honda" alarm is a dealer installed option.

the dealer installed option is done by KARR. the good way to tell also is to look under the dash for the blue LED with the valet light.

mine has a shock sensor and a perimeter sensor built in. this is a dealer installed option from the factory.

How much does it cost for the OEM alarm to be installed after the fact?

And what are some good options for aftermarket for this car?

Got mine from Handaaccessories.com. You can save by doing it yourself. OEM alarms are plug and play.

There's an LED built-in the cluster for the alarm.

FYI - With the Honda alarm the "hood sensor" is separate. My S came with the alarm but I had to have the dealer install the hood sensor after the fact.

I am going with Clifford probably.
OEM is supposed to suck because any theif can read the blue prints, break into your car, and disable it quickly. (From what I have read)
