Default Fake Side Grille options

I am considering getting some kind of grille to replace the fake side intakes. I want to feed my CAI with some more air.

I am not too impressed with the costal metals grille. I don't really like the drilled pattern. Anyone know of anything else? Louvered would be cool, it would look almost stock.

Any suggestions?

Only other ones I have seen are Grille-Tech, site sponsor. They are similar to the Coastal Metals version though.

Grill-tech has a diamond pattern that looks really nice. I have the CM and have been happy with them so far......
I dremmeled out the vent then attached the vent to bumper...really increases airflow IMO

I had not seen the grille-tech diamond pattern. Seems like it might be unique. Whatever I get will definatly be black finish.

10blade, do you have pix of yours? Silver or Black?

Yeah, actually NON-close is cool. Most people aren't going to be sticking their noses up my bumper. (At least not the bumper on the car. )

Thanks, ruexp67.

I've added custom front bumper side vents to my list of things to do.

I would like to do something a little different than anyone else has done, but it won't be easy. One thing that I've thought of is to try to find some rubber moulding to use that will match my Sebring paint. It's a longshot, but if I get it, I think it would look good, and be original. I may use the (diamond) screen pattern from my Amuse-style hood vent, or I may change that pattern. I also want to use a matching screen pattern in the rear bumper vents, when I get the aftermarket rear bumper.

I also love your idea of putting functional louvers in the vents to match the OEM look!!! I will have to give that some serious thought.

Good luck with your project!

-Pete

on the subject..

I'm stuck in NY where I need to have a front plate...

If I put in a metal Mesh grille & attach the plate to the grill.. will it block too much air??

any way to stuff the plate in there somewhere??

HELP!! it's SO DAMN UGLY!
