Wingman has this setup and he hasn't mentioned any problems.

If you REALLY wanted to get air into that faux brake duct area, you wouldn't have a mini grille there at all. It reduces air flow just as much in that location as it does in the middle. Protection yes, but flow, not. My brake duct flow path works much better without the grille in place.

tenblade, How did you fasten that H to your grill? I couldn't do it. Thanks.

You just stuck it right there on the license plate bracket?..and it stays?

EDIT: Oh I see, you have a real grill. I want an H without an actual grill, you know just like in there. It didn't register in my head that you had a grill.

Sideways: I love the star filter effect on your pixs. Very funny.

10B: That huge H logo is pretty cool. It's pretty funny that you and Kodokan post one right after the other. Kodokan is trying to shave every single H off the car, and you are adding new ones!

Russ: I know that the grilles reduce airflow. I did not want to just cut out the duct though. I wanted to have at least SOME protection. I figure it must allow at least SOME air through, unlike the plastic covers.

I have no intention of putting any type of mesh grille in front of the main intake area.

Evil G: The mesh grille itself seems to block too much airflow for a lot of people around here. Adding the plate can't help. Illinois also requires a front plate. I decided the run without and see what happens.

Yeah I do have that setup. First mod I'd ever done to my S2000 in fact. I have never shot over 3-bars on the OEM temp guage (not that it doesn't mean my temp has moved higher perhaps for the sake of the license plate mounted in this fashion...but again, I've not lost any appreciable performance for it nor have I bumped to 4-bars on the temp gauge). I had CM do this work/mount for me. They shaved "unnecessary boarders" of the plate down for me and then did a professional mount to their CM grille. Even trimmed the plate with the same trim they use for their grille.
