I'll definatly be attempting to make it, I know that around the Lake Placid area the colors always peak the first week of Oct, so the southern part of state should be a little later.

It looks now that the weekend of the 5th will be our choice, pending our research into hotel availability. The weekend of the 19th is Plebe parent weekend at West Point, which will have the hotels and roads tied up.

Count me in also Rick. Talked to alot of guys in DEL/VAL about this already and most were up for it! We'll have a huge caravan going up 95 for this one!

I'm in. It'll be nice to meet you in person.

Depending on your Route, you may want to consider the hotels off of Rte 84 on the West side of the Hudson. There are 3-4 hotels all within walking distance of each other on Rte 9 (Holiday Inn, Hampton Inn (?), Residence Inn, Wellesley Inn and Suites and a Courtyard. Alot of them may have multi bedrooms so if some want to double up they could. I'm sure that most also have conference rooms available if you want.

If you end up going over the Bear Mtn. bridge, you could then take one of the Rte 9's up north to get there, or if you are on James' side you would have to get to 84 and cross the Newburgh Beacon Bridge and rte 9 is about 5 minutes away.

I'm sure James knows the area I'm talking about.

There are also alot of restaurants on Route 9.
