Default Fall Colors 2003 dates have been set: Oct 24-26, save them

Check out the Fall Colors forum for up-to-date information: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...198#post1767198

Fall Colors 2003 is now set for the October 24-26 weekend. This year, the event will be back in Maryland. We haven't settled on the final location yet, because we are debating between the Western Maryland mountain area and the hilly horse country north of Baltimore. Both have outstanding course possibilities, with lots of twisties, no traffic, few police, and beautiful fall scenery.

As has become tradition after only two years, we'll gather Friday evening, have clinics on Saturday morning (this year with brake, rear gear, VAFC, FI, and S2000/S2200 comparisons), a long drive on Saturday afternoon (with groups of ten cars divided into aggressive and moderate, each group type following different courses), Saturday night dinner (hopefully with a guest engineer from Honda in Japan), and an autocross on Sunday.

We'll be finalizing and announcing full plans and details in June, but for now, mark the dates on your calendar.

In case you don't know Fall Colors, it has become the largest and S2000 gathering in the Western Hemisphere. In the first year, in Maryland, we had 100 cars and last year, in Bear Mountain, NY, 105 cars were registered.

I'm going to try to make it this year. I think I'll bring Adam (my 9 year old) with me. It will be a thrill for him (and me).

With the drive on Sunday, many people have to miss it or cut out early to go home, especially if they've driven a long way. With the autox on Sunday this year, we can assign drivers who have to leave early to the first runs, so they can get in at least a few hours of runs before heading home. With the drive on Saturday, we can also spread things out a bit more and extend the drive later into the day.

Rick, If you need any help running/setting up the autox, I'd be happy to volunteer. Just let me know.
