Default Is fast cornering bad?

I can't help thinking that taking sharp corners at a high speed is bad for the tires, but because we CAN do it with the S2000, I tend to do it quite often -- with the squealing tires and all. So is it bad to take a 90-degree turn at 40MPH or faster (on a flat road)? Other than burning out the outside edge of the tires, what else is bad about making fast turns?

WhiteS2k,

Technically you are putting more stress on the car's suspension components at the least...but that is what the car is for bud...

Just start saving for new tires now and if you hit any pot holes while under that kind of stress watch for signs of being knocked out of align.

If you don't plan on whipping your car around corners, why did you get an S2000? That's half the fun!

My goal every commute to work: use the brakes as little as possible

from personal experience, my only comment is to be careful in 90 degree corners while accelerating.
i took one wide, hit the gas and lost the rear!
no problem as long as it is not full throttle... (VTECing in turns can lead to unwanted conditions!)
