Faulty odometer?
Doesn't that mean that the car is showing more miles then it's actually racking up? So by that measurement you're losing value on the car faster then is actually happening.
This begs the question though, does it under report? I got pulled over on Monday, the cop said I was going 85 but I swear I didn't see my speedo go past 71 (luckily didn't get a ticket).

and the gas consumption is out: for that 15 minute drive to the mall that takes an hour, says 40km instaed of 7km, and a full tank of gas only lasts two or three days. This is bad news! LEV vehicle, no! MEV yes (maximum enjoyment vehicle)
