Favorite suspension setup?
Here's an interesting thread about more or less the same subject in the R&C forum. I'd pay attention to what the fast guys have to say

Too late for me, Ludedude.
I've read the thread. I'm not good enough (or flush with $$ enough) to throw down $1,000 per corner. I'd rather spend that money on DE.
If I don't like the Buddy Club setup I can always sell them.
Since I am 50% street-x/40% autocross/10% track I'm not overly concerned about my shocks getting overheated.
If I get serious about tracking - I'll buy a beater Miata or something... my S2000 is just too pretty to frequently risk @ the track. hehe...
10K/10K so far hasn't resulted in any weird handling quirks so far like increased bump steer (one of my fears with this high a spring rate) or a tendency towards a more "snappy" transition to oversteer.
Time will tell.
p.s. if all you want is better times on the track or at an autocross - don't screw around with the suspension - just get some R compounds, an alignment (maybe a big front bar...) and some driver training.
I suspect most of the guys wondering about coilovers are kind of like me... wanting a better look with a little lowering and the ability to dial in the suspension for some sporting use of the car too - but not 100% dedicated track junkies...

lig
Actually, good things are available in the form of single adjustable JRZs for considerably less than $1000 per corner.
In any case, a lot of it depends on personal preference and assignment of value. The single most important thing is that you are happy with your car.
Thats a Sexy pic of the car. Yea I guess it all comes down to the driver. One guy says crap, another says he loves it. I guess I will have to a lot of research into this and just make a decision based on that.
i haven't read anyone saying their buddy clubs are crap... yet... but im pretty sure the FAST guys are laughing at that setup. us non-competative guys are looking for what lig described above.
personally, im looking for the most value in a coilover setup. height adjustment w/o sacrificing stroke, etc. BTW, lig, can you explain to me how that works? (height adjustment w/o sacrificing stroke) from all the coilover systems ive seen/installed (none of which were close to 'great systems') i've only seen the ones where the height is adjusted by spinning the bottom perches up/down (down to lower, up to raise). with this setup, you sacrifice stroke when you lower the car (the top mounting point goes down with the lowering of the bottom perch)
is it the bottom mounting point that can spin up and down to adjust ride height?

I havent used any so Im would have no room to imply that certain ones suck but in that thread Krazik states any $2,000 Jap coil setup is crap.

is more like it.
