I was watching a Best motoring video with a white Ferrari 355 (v8 in those i think) which sounded AWESOME as it passes the cameras.

Does our car sound anything like that with a louder exhaust (HKS)???? what makes the ferrari sound soooo nice? We have equally high revs, so........???

It almost sounded F1 ish.

if you want that sound, look no further than the Spoon single exhaust. I've been watching the Spoon S2000 video, and it sounds sweet

4 more cylinders and lots more horsepower make a 355 sound like that.

Believe me you can get tired of too much sound. My Camaro SS would set off car alarms in parking lots and if I passed your house your dentures would fall out I'm quite happy with the sound of my stock Stook

Just buy a J's Racing Exhaust and your car will sound even louder than a ferrari 355.
(like driving a F-1)
I got one but it may be too loud for 99% of people out here including me.
It set off alarms everytime I started my car in the parking lot.
Amuse may also give you good sound but those Ti exhaust are expensive.

I have set off lots of alarms in parking garages, actually...but that is one thing that so many S2000 owners have said about Scarlet at various rallies and shindigs...that the HKS sounds Ferrari-esque. And Meat, you're right, it's them other 4 cylinders that give that beast its beautiful tone, as well...and you are correct on that too, Sev, I would never tire of the sound of the F355...

I love the music of the HKS...I never tire of it. I was in Florida a month or so ago and I drove someone else's S2000 (you know who you are!) and I found it to be so utterly quiet that I couldn't hear it to shift! I have had my HKS since July...not a single regret...awesome sound, terrific looks...maybe, MAYBE a little more punch...but a well-spent 1,000 dollars. And yes, I did it before the group buy.

Love it!

I get told my car sounds Ferrari Esque all the time.

Even by one of the guys actually driving a 355 and one of my track days! As a matter of fact he commented how much he liked my exhaust note when I was coming down the front straight.

Nice comment from a guy driving an AWESOME car.

sorry guys ......you really need 12 little buggers going up and down for a real ferrari sound........i've had and listened to a lot of hot 4 cyls, both street and racing and for me the absolute best was a 250 four cyl RC honda factory gp bike circa '66....[this thing wouldn't RUN below 9 grand!!] once pushed off,the rider blipped it mercilessly at ear-splitting Db's and slipped the clutch till it hooked up......old age and the passage of time didn't enhance the memory....this was last summer.[i've heard tapes of luigi taveri on his factory 125 five cyl. at the isle of man reunion and it defies description...]
