Ferrari like engine/exhaust sound.???????
Greg - does that someone who let you drive their car know about scarlet (the original one?)
Well... this weekend, I am at least going to let my dad go ripping past me hopefully at full tilt in some gear so I can hear the damned car as a by-stander. I think the engine noise takes over at about 7k in side the cockpit (huhu..cockpit) and I have never heard a nonstock exhaust S2000 outside.
DBW - the 355 only has a V8 and still has that awesome sound.?

I can't agree with you more about a "true" Ferrari engine. A 12-cylinder Ferrari has a sound that is awe-inspiring.
My favorite car sound is the that of a 1992 Ferrari F1 that a guy owns in Wisconsin. He competes in "vintage" events at Road America with it. The sound of that car coming out of turn 5 and going up the hill is magical. For the record, you can actually hear that car no matter where it is on the 4-mile track. It just sounds like DEATH. It is a car that no matter who sees it, a smile just comes over their face. Not to mention the car dominates every race it is in - which includes some good company - old CART cars, 917's, GT40's, etc...
Gee, all this talk - I can't wait for next summer!!!

Sorry, the SK2 has it's own distinct sound. Nice thought comparing it to the 355. Had a 1979 CBX with a Winning six into one exhaust. It's the only thing that has come close. Boy did it sound good with the baffle out!!!
My 2000 GL1500 sound that good also with the mustang mufflers installed.
