Default A few questions about the s2000

I'm in the market for buying one, and was wondering what gpw and nfr stand for? also, i dont know if i should get an ap1 or ap2. I want a car that is more for the track and less road, stiff ride quick handling. What are your guys opinions?

Those are just abreviations of a couple of the OEM colors on the S2000.

GPW = Grand Prix White

NFR = New Formula Red

There will always be a debate between an ap1 and ap2. I feel like that ap2 is more of a street car, and the ap1 is more of a track car. If you're going to mostly track it I would get a cheaper ap1.

Test drive both, decide how much you want to pay, and research mods. Stock ap2 is faster than an ap1 on the track, but you can easily mod away that difference with the money saved buying an ap1.

If you want it for the track I'd say buy an AP1.

It is going to be my daily driver/track car and autocross. I plan on lowering it to make it more stiff. I really don't know which one to go with

Do you have a spending limit?

Yeah if it's going to be a daily/track car I would just go test drive both and see what feels best to you.

I am on a budget. It seems the ap1 is best for me. Ive been looking around and it seems hard to find an ap1 that doesn't have a different motor, or needs axles. Thanks for the help

Imo, anything for track, buy cheap, add cage, mod as needed - you'll upgrade too much over stock to bother with a newer car.

Track car on a budget? You should be looking for a Miata.
