Default The filthy beasts next door

I was at the computer yesterday when I heard a knock on the door. I answered it and it was the seven year old next door and his friend, two shirtless, grubby little boys.

They said, " We'll wash your car for two dollars." They had a soapy bucket of water and a dirty rag. I said firmly, "No thank you."

I was horrified. These horrid little monsters are threatening to ruin my paint forever with just a few swipes of their hands.

I watched as these kids went across the street and washed the car of a kindly old lady there. They put the rag on the ground each time they squirted the hose. They obviously had no interest in washing a car, they only wanted candy money.

Now I'm afraid these horrid little monsters will come back to my house and wash my car for free, out of the kindness of their heart. It's ironic how to the neighbors these are just innocent little boys trying to earn some money during the summer, but to me they are little devils, threatening all that is dear to me.

If they're only interested in candy money why the heck would they wash your car for free (out of the kindness of their hearts)? Clearly you were never a kid . I think if you're that obsessive you should keep your car in a garage.

Be afraid... Be very afraid! I got a similar problem with the neighbors' kids playing near my garage space. I'm constantly looking out the window to make sure nothing happens. I just can't relax knowing those little monsters are outside playing near my S.

I would consider paying them the car wash money as 'protection' with a guarantee from them to stay away from the car.

My Berlina very rarely, very very rarely stays outside my garage for the children living on the block to touch, swing sticks at, throw balls at or near.

How dare they act like children in the presence of an S?

I was afraid my post would have sounded a little harsh but I'm glad everyone understands the exaggerated tone. Things are scary when you are a paranoid S owner!

For what its worth i dont trust anyone around my S, not grown adults, or children. At work i sit 20ft at most from my car i can see it out of my window, at home i park it as far back as possible with sight of it at any moment; when going to eat i park to where i will have no problem seeing it or request sitting to where i can see it. Guard it at all times!

I feel the same way. No kid or charity event is coming near my car for a wash. I'll do it myself, thanks.
