I would consider paying them the car wash money as 'protection' with a guarantee from them to stay away from the car.
I was gonna say the same thing: Pay them NOT to wash it!

yes i agree, it is just a car, but it is mine and i like taking peice of mind that no ones messing with it or damaging it, especially since the paints are so hard to match and since it is a rather expensive car for me. I want to keep it in as good of condition for a long time, i don't intend to get rid of this car so protection is key

They obviously had no interest in washing a car, they only wanted candy money.
Its probably not that they didn't have any interest in washing the cars. Its more than less the fact that there only seven years old! Its like the nike shoe factories, of course different shoes will fit different even though there the same size, you have ing seven year olds making them!

I was at the computer yesterday when I heard a knock on the door. I answered it and it was the seven year old next door and his friend, two shirtless, grubby little boys.

They said, " We'll wash your car for two dollars." They had a soapy bucket of water and a dirty rag. I said firmly, "No thank you."

I was horrified. These horrid little monsters are threatening to ruin my paint forever with just a few swipes of their hands.

I watched as these kids went across the street and washed the car of a kindly old lady there. They put the rag on the ground each time they squirted the hose. They obviously had no interest in washing a car, they only wanted candy money.

Now I'm afraid these horrid little monsters will come back to my house and wash my car for free, out of the kindness of their heart. It's ironic how to the neighbors these are just innocent little boys trying to earn some money during the summer, but to me they are little devils, threatening all that is dear to me.
"but to me they are little devils, threatening all that is dear to me."
love that

they are just trying to earn some extra cash. At least they aren't out stealing things. Just give them a couple of bucks and decline the wash.

do you guys have problems with squeegee people trying to clean your windows at street corners? I can't stand them...some of them are so aggressive. Even when I tell them no, they sometimes still clean my windshield and make it dirty!!!!

At least you were nice to them...that probably sat well with them.

I don't let anyone wash my car but me...now I don't mind someone helping me as long as I can supervise them

Jeezuz.. I love my car, but if I had a wife that I constantly had to worry that she'd run off and put a dIck in her mouth every time I wasn't around -I'd GET RID OF HER. Unless she was really really hot. Then I guess I see your point.

but still, once I got over my intitial analness with my S (after like a year), I enjoy it more and it still looks good.
