Nice Job Rick. I very much like the gauges. I think oil temp information is very important for knowing when to VTEC and oil pressure information is vital to this engine! Your install is amazing.

I suggest that this be submitted to Shelley (Hondagal) to be added to the FAQ section of this website. It is a very useful reference for anyone wishing to do this modification.
Just curious, why did you choose to add another guage for coolant temperature? Knowing the engine oil temp combined with the existing coolant temp guage should give plenty of warning about overheating. My understanding was that engine oil temperature increases precede coolant temperature increases, giving enough warning.

We added coolant temperature only because we wanted a constant reading of the actual temperature, not just a relative measure or warning, like the stock.
BTW, I wired up the air temp sensor this morning and mounted next the the AEM CAI about sixinches in front of the trottle body. I'm curious to see how the temp varies with different driving conditions. More pictures will be coming when we finish getting all the other senors wired in. But it should go fast, since all the engine bay wiring is done. Just waiting for the final sensor parts...

Maybe you could sell the components as a complete kit and supply your great installation instructions with the kit.
What is the S emblem on the steering wheel made of?
Will you sell these or are they a potential safety hazard you could be held responsible for, if you were to market them?
Personally, I think the interior looks extremely classy.

A few months ago there was a group buy on a cable and software package to let you plug into the OBDII port and read out engine functions. It was about $100 and I've only played with it a couple of times but it is really cool. It connects to a COM port on the laptop (or desktop if you've got a loooooooooooooong serial cable
It does read out coolant temperature as I remember.

This looks like the perfect winter project for me...I'm gonna do it! I think the stock "gauges" are, ummmm, I'll be kind here...wholly inadequate - especially if you track the car.

The S emblem is actually one of our wheel badges. We don't sell them for this purpose anymore because of the airbag risk.

Since we have only the air thermal sensor (which is made by Nordskog), I can't tell you about water or oil until they come. I don't know the specs on the Nordskog, but it's a metal tab about 1/2 wide and an inch long with a hole in the middle and three leads, one for ground, one for power, and one that runs to the gauge. Does that help?
BTW, the underhood temp near the throttle body has ranged from 72 to 104 degrees F on a day with an ambient temp of 60 degress.

I've lost count of the hours, but I have at least 40 in so far. Of course, a lot of that is learning by trial and error. When we do James car, we'll cut that in half, I think.
We have about $550 in gauges and various parts.
