final intake question thread
1: ok, is there a intake duct / cooling plate combo that does NOT require hood modification for MY05?
perhaps spoon duct, mugen plate?
2: does this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Honda-S2000...1QQcmdZViewItem
require hood modifications?
3: does this:

require hood modifications?
i know these probably wont make the power of the aem or k&n, but i dont want them.
i figure neither of these setups can make me LOSE power like the arc box.

From what I've read on this forum, it seems as if the snorkel intakes, i.e. spoon and mugen, don't require hood mods but could rub or scratch the hood if the bottom of the panel isn't cut. Maybe Spoon and Mugen intake owners could give us their expertise.
i know the cooling plate fits without hood modification. I personally dont have one, but i have seen one on another local s2000 and it fit without rubbing, at least thats what the guy said and there wasnt any indications that he wasnt telling the truth, like scrapes on the underside of the hood and what not.
