I would really appreciate if anyone could verify that the 02 tops can be made to fit into the '00 and '01 without any customization (i.e. not aftermarket products but honda original) ........... and whether the local dealers and agents are able to do the job at all

without any customization? ha! nope, that aint gonna happen. the *one* that I've seen retrofitted was a very custom job.

a dealer do this kind of work? very unlikely. perhaps a custom top-shop could do it, but for a very pretty penny, and I'm talking at least two thousand for the job. (it costs ~$1600 to replace the top with parts & labor)
