Post Finally!

After walking across parking lots and staring at the S2k since its inception, I take delivery on a Silverstone S2k this morning. Any tips for the break in?

Vary your speed/rpm's during breakin as much as possible, don't go over 5,000 rpms. Don't drive for a long time on the highway at a constant speed.

If you're conservative, you might want to double the miles for break-in to 1200.

Check the oil all the time, buy an extra quart from the dealership in case you need to add.

Make sure the cold air pressure is right. Mine was at 38 all around!

Get a Mugen oil cap - unless you're willing to live with the risk of the factory one blowing apart.

Don't let anyone put their hand on the seats under pressure - it might leave an indentation.

All excellent points although I've never heard of or seen any stock S2000 oil cap "blow apart".

IMO you don't need the Mugen bling piece at all but everyone has their personal preference.

I never saw one blow apart either, but I've seen them chip off threads, leave the rubber o-ring behind (or fall off) and work their way off or leak.
