All excellent points although I've never heard of or seen any stock S2000 oil cap "blow apart".

IMO you don't need the Mugen bling piece at all but everyone has their personal preference.
Do a search - several posts here with pictures of oil caps in pieces and the owners stating they were glad they could put the cap bag together and verify that no piece had falled into the engine.

After walking across parking lots and staring at the S2k since its inception, I take delivery on a Silverstone S2k this morning. Any tips for the break in?
Ain't it great!

It's almost been a year for me and I remember the day I took delivery (after saving up for 2.5 years) like it was yesterday. You've already gotten the accepted recommendations on break-in so I won't add to that other than to say.......

Congrats, Welcome to the club, & Drive Safe,
Steve R.

Thanks for the tips. What an awesome machine!

It certainly was a memorable Memorial Day weekend cruising the mountains and coastline of S California.

Not all addictions are bad, right?

Congratulations. I remember the excitement following my purchase. Heck I still get it every time I get behind the wheel.

As others have said... check your oil regularly, much more regularly than most cars. This is very important.

Enjoy your new car
