Finally got a daily driver, S will sit on the driveway!
My 04 S was the daily driver but finally got a daily beater so that I can drive the S on the weekends and minimize the daily wear and tear. Any recommendations on a good quality car cover which wont damage the paint even under a prolonged coverage?

OEM car cover is cloth so only good if not going to get wet.
I have the WeatherTech HP cover. VERY happy with it! I don't have a garage so my S is outside all the time. If I haven't done a good wash,
I'll just use the California Duster to get any dust off of it before putting the cover on. If it is dirty, I'll use some QD before putting
it on as well. Haven't had any problems with the cover wearing the paint at all and the water beads up and rolls right off of it!
The WeatherTech's aren't cheap but I wasn't going to chance it with some cheapo cover and have it start dulling the paint where it touches the car.
Good car covers these days are made of Noah. It's water resistant and offers UV protection and it's soft so it doesn't scratch paint. If you need something that's waterproof get one made out of Weathershield. Slightly more expensive than Noah but it offers better rain protection if you live in a wet climate. Costs about $200-300. Make sure to get one that's custom cut for the S2k or the fitment will be lousy. Good fitment makes it easy to put on and take off, bad fitment makes it a struggle.
