I've decided to remove this post...I didn't like it's potential to be misconstrued....

i'd offer mine up with a big sign if they didn't have the custom seat heaters installed.
I don't see why you would even say that... or why you're trying to be cool by saying it's not a big deal, but you sound like an idiot.

And by the way, I have an 06 for all of you who can't read what it says below my avatar, so purchasing new seats is out of the question considering the dilemma with the 06+ airbag sensor, or else I'd be buying new Bride's or something.

oh joy, another toil.

why do i sound like an idiot. ask a s2k owner who has had their car for a couple of years with softened bolsters or someone who would like red seats instead of blk. oh look, my old seats got stolen. sucks to be me. i guess i'll have to get new ones in the color of my choice or aftermarket ones of my choice.

are you really gonna say that is a bum deal?

I guess what he is saying is that it would give people ideas of having their seats stolen on purpose which effects everybody insurance wise.

Public service anouncement(sp) If you do not have a hardtop and keep your car in a car port, in front of your driveway or anything other than a garage in the state of Florida.
A hardtop wont prevent the seats from getting stolen, it will just make it a little harder. If they want the seats they will get them. I would be scared to get a hardtop its easier to take than the seats.

I've been conetemplating parking it out on the street one night w/o the hardtop and waiting in the bushes for them...then blowing their ****ing heads off once they've got my seats out of the car so there's proof I caught them in the act of actually stealing my seats.

Goddamned thieves
Can we do that?
I mean seriously, there'll be no charge against us if we shoot/kill someone in a situation like this?
I'm asking cuz I'd definitely do something to those thieves if they ever do anything to my S.

Maybe not as many people with a HT then without, but a hardtop will not stop the problem only delay. Im not saying it wont help, but its not the final answer.

Isn't that what we want? Oh wait, an alarm won't prevent a car from being stolen, it will only make it a little harder.
