Default Finally heard the Invidia in person

I've been on my last leg of summer break recently, traveling from my hometown near DC to the Outer Banks (NC) and then this week going down to Kiawah Island (SC)...a fine finish to a nice summer i might add...anywho, on the way through South Carolina i'm pulling up to a stop light and hear this INCREDIBLY loud noise, which i thought was my car going apesh*t on me. However, a Silverstone S comes rolling by with that telltale Invidia logo on the center pipe.

Now story aside, here's what it's like. Very loud exhaust under any throttle application. **Some** might call it a rice sound...if you're one who says "oh there's a ricer" at every civic that passes, you WILL NOT LIKE THIS EXHAUST. It is more like a "ricey" exhaust note that any other i think of. However, I'm not saying it isnt for anyone. Those that want that very noticeable sound (i repeat LOUD) this could be what you need. I just want all who are on the fence to know that if you're kinda iffy on whether or not this is what you want, you most likely will have problems with it. You've gotta really want that angry loud tone to go with this one.

If you're wondering why i didnt say something to this guy, i was driving my gf's father's Range Rover HSE Sport...(SICK)...and i thought the older guy would just think i was some punk kid. My gf's father is also rolling with a new DB9 and of course the SL500

Cheers to all, I hope this helps any with doubts about the Invidia setup...Those that have the Invidia, i'm not hating; just stating my impressions

OK, don't forget your geritol, Preparation H, Fixodent, and colon bags when you go to the store.

J/K old man

I had this on my MY01. While loud, it is certainly NOT ricey. It's like a louder 350Z. Ricey is the wheed whacker sound

Yea I have it as well. I have never really considered it to be ricey but loud it is. Just my opinion though.

yeah, ricey to me means rattles and farty noises.

this exhaust is the best sounding 4 cylinder exhaust i've ever heard. nothing but deep tone. and yes, loud.

Couldnt agree with you more. This exhuat is even better when the mid-pipe is swapped for the stock one!!!
