Default Finally Pulled the trigger! 06 S2000

after 4 long months and countless test drives, finally found the one! 06 Rio Yellow, 32k miles, Honda Certified, and this is the best part, $17,900.00. This was the first car I looked at 4 months ago but the dealer was asking $22,000. 4 months later, its sitting in my garage.

I have a few questions...

When in 6th gear crusing along at 70-75 mph, what is your rpm?

The dealer said that as part of the "certified used" program, they perform the scheduled maintenance. Should I trust them or should I bite the bullet and have a 30,000 mile service performed so I know the service interval.

If synthetic oil is not being used, should I switch to synthetic?

Thanks

Congrats! I don't think there's much to a 30,000 service.

Some of the things you might want to look at:
1. differential fluid change
2. transmission fluid change

They're both easy to do yourself, but a little messy.

Install new cabin filter (do it yourself) and maybe take a look at the intake air filter.
If you have a buddy around, you can think about doing brake fluid flush.

One of the great things about s2ki.com is the number of DIY threads with pictures.

Synthetic or no-synthetic... I don't think people can say it really matters either way. Some people have noticed their engines eat more oil with synthetic, but more often in AP1s.

Welcome, and enjoy your Honda!
