Hello Everyone,
It was hot outside yesterday for the first time since I have had my s2000. I had the ac running sitting at a light when I noticed that my temp gauge went from three bars, which it always is at on my s, to four bars. Is this normal?

I have had the car inspected at the dealership. They said every thing looked really good. Now I am planning on getting the radiator flushed and new coolant soon.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes.

 

I have never seen anything more than 3 bars on my AP1. I think coolant flush is a good idea.

 

Definitely not normal on an AP1.

I'd look into a flush. I've never popped 4 bars on my AP1 even during track days in July.

 

how old is your coolant?

 

Isnt 3 bars something like 165 degrees - 235 degrees?

235 is very hot, I've never seen more than 220 and AZ summers get hotttt.

 

Yea I agree get it flushed. I have never seen my car pass 3 bars.
