bought MY00 in January, 36 degF, cloudy. had top down when i pulled out of the dealership. didn't stay down all the way home, though - started to drizzle.

I feel...suffocated when driving this car with top up...

Few weeks ago when I test drove an S, I kept the top down cause weather was really nice. As I stopped at a light, a hottie in an Civic stopped besides, looked at me as if I was a movie star or something, said..."Hey, this is really nice. You like it?".

Me said "Sure". Few days later, I brought that car. Frankly, what elase could I have done?

- my first and only time with the top down lasted me 5 minutes on the freeway, had to pull off the next exit and close the roof...
- then bought a hardtop
- hmmm... I live in san diego too..

I sooo wanna put my top down... but I keep getting attacked by these freakn cicadas (in case no one knows, cicadas are these BIG INSECTS that come out once every 17 years on the east coast in the States)... they live for a month or two and practically overpopulate until theyre done mating... til then, we have to handle getting swarmed by them just on the trip from the car to wherever... PS: They dont die after getting smacked into a windshield at speed (theyre crucial BUGS!)

I picked up mine at about 6:30 pm. Sun was setting as I headed home westward. Grining all the way! oh and
it was in mid August ! Mesa ARIZONA about 105 degrees!!
For the next few weeks I drove with top done and a/c on!!
Day temps in the 110's for a high. Not sure whats worse
40-50's top down chattering teeth or sweaty back and legs
with 110's? Loved every minute .
