I just got my first flat. Boy, the jack is really slow. I came home today and didn't realize the tire was going flat; however, I did notice the car pulling to one side as I accelerated. I suppose that should have been the tip-off. Looks like a trip to Discount Tire is in order in the a.m.

Well hopefully that it didn't get punctured on the side wall otherwise you will need a brand new tire...

Puncture is not on the side wall, but it's fairly close to the edge. I think my road hazard guarantee should protect me. Discount has been very good in the past about honoring their guarantees.

Front or Rear?
Note to all newbies: The space saver spare may damage the Limited Slip Differential. If you get a rear flat remember to put the space saver on the front and rotate the front to the back.

Rear. I'm taking the tire to the dealer in the a.m. for repair. The car sleeps on the jack tonight; the spare stays in the trunk.

Don't feel bad. When I first bought (used) my '94 Acura Integra RS, I put a new set of tires on it. I got some stock size, 14" tires. After much searching, I chose the Bridgestone Potenza RE930. Great all-season.

Wouldn't you know it, not even a week later, a nail in my sidewall. I was p!ssed.
