First oil change...
I have been told to keep the oil in as long as possible becasue of the oil additive that comes with the car. I am comming up on 3,700 miles and was wondering if I should change it at the "extreme condiction" (what the manual says) 3,750 miles or keep it in a little longer? There is no way I am going to keep it in till 7,000 miles on the "normal condiction" or what ever the manual says.
change it out at 6 months, no matter what. what happens if it takes you 3 three years to hit 3750 miles(severe) or 7000 miles(normal)? no dino oil can last long, by that time the oil has taken in so much moisture and contaniments that it won't be doing its job anymore, which is to lubricate and protect the engine internals.

Change it at 3,750....you'll be fine.
Keep a good dino oil in there(Chevron Supreme, Castol, Pennzoil, etc.) until 7-15k(your choice) and then go with a full synthetic if you feel like it. This engine has the chance for possibly developing an oil consumption issue if you switch over to synthetic too soon so be aware of that.

i changed mine at 3000 the first time,
5 at the second time,
7500 third time and 10000 the 4th times.
it' all depends on how you drive and stuff.
i know people is going to tell me that's gonna hurt your car and stuff but my knowledge is that change more is always better than change less or not change at all.

You may be ok leaving it in there but it would also be fine for you to drain it and put some conventional back in. It's really up to you to make that decision.
I changed mine at 3300 to Amsoil 7500W (synthetic). I have 6600 now with zero oil consumption and plan to change it at 7000 with either Pennzoil synthetic or Valvoline Max Life synthetic (I have both ready to go). I plan to change my oil and filter every 4-5K from now on. I also changed my diff fluid at 3K with Pennzoil 80-90W GL5, and boy did it need it! Plan to change my tranny fluid (Honda MTF) at 7K (no transmission problems at all). Since I seem to be breaking all the rules, I'll report back if I start having any problems.
