dealer say wait til 5000 mi on the car to change the OIL.... so wait til 5000... do it like they says and it all good. it helps to break in anyways...
who knows what kind of special oil they put to help the break in... but whatever we put afterward are meant for car that is properly break in.

I'm at 3000 something too.. hahhhahah
got it in march.

Incorrect, wait until the oil life is down to 15% or 12 months are up, and then change the oil.

Also, drive your car more!

Only change the first oil or after the correct amount of miles is reached, or if the oil is 1 year old or the indicator says to do so!

Yeah, I definitely need to drive more... My S is my weekend car and I normally drive Odyssey to/from/at work... I think I put in more than 25K miles on Odyssely last year...

Again, thanks for the help guys!

I also have a MY07, bought it in April. I also have a DD which I abuse but my S is my weekend/nice day car.

Currently I have 1,500 miles on it (showing 70% on my indicator) and I was going to do my first oil change with Honda 10W30 oil and filter next week... cause I figured since its been about 5 months (i thought it was 5,000 miles or 5 months... kinda like 3,000 miles or 3 months, whichever comes first)

also like gawee77, my car sits more then driven so i didnt want the dirty oil to be in the engine for long periods of time...

so my question is, isn't it 5,000miles or 5 months.. whichever comes first? You guys noted above that it's 5,000 miles or 1 year? Remember that both of our cars sit for long periods of time... at least 5-7 days straight or even more..

thx for ur helpS~

You may want to go by the Manufactured Date not the date you bought the car !!

They dont change your oil when you bought the car OTD.
