never soreness but im a big guy...6'1" and pushing 300lbs.... my problem on long drives my leg get a little cramped for space. after 2hrs or so i like to get out and strech....all my other vehicle i hit cruise control and i have enough room to fully extend my legs and "strech out" while driving. in the s i cannot.

i also found during a recent trip to chicago ~3hr drive that removing my wallet from my back pocket made the car 10x more comfortable. the s2k seats are performance oriented and dont offer much "cushion" to absorb thew wallet. although thin (1-1.5") think ...it made a huge difference in driving comfort

I don't experience pain like this. However I try to stretch as much as I can before I start driving my S. I find that after a good stretch, the drive is more comfortable.

Are you in reasonable shape?

I always had it so my leg had to be nearly fully extended to push the clutch all the way in.

I've never had these problems.

Well- maybe the OP is a woman and maybe she's driving with high heels on and that's affecting the legs.

Only brought it up because no one else did.

I am a male, a very skinny and out of shape one..haha

So my leg has been better. I have figured out that I am getting tense when I shift, specifically my right leg. During shifts when I'm letting off the clutch I get tense in my right leg because I'm afraid to either give it too much gas or not enough. I just need to learn to relax when driving...

Thanks for all the input everyone!

If it's only sore your muscles and tendons etc will strengthen and adapt and you'll be fine.

Just like any weight bearing exercise

If you're feeling sore from driving a stick shift, tense or not, you really should be exercising more.

Enjoy the wonderful car you have chosen, you will relax with experience with your car. Think of it as a good partner with high rewards and expectations. It will work with you, you will become a glad to have a manual transmission in this car person.
