Default First ticket in my S2k

Well just got my first ticket in my s2k, usually I wouldn't give a $%K about a speeding ticket if I really deserved it, but seriously, 66 in a 55??????? Is that really necessary? I still have my temporary tags on! I guess troopers in VA have nothing better to do with their time. Just thought I'd blow off some steam

I got one three weeks after I got my car. A "no turn on red" ticket. Now that's a waste of a ticket.

But yeah, 11 over? Lame. You'd think they would at least wait until 15 over!

No kidding! I wanted to ask the trooper if I could turn around and try it again so I could actually get a real ticket, but I figured that would only make the situation worse.. so i kept my mouth shut..

11 over is plenty high for a ticket. I'd say anything more than 5 over is game. Probably most cops won't even bother with less than 10 over, because I think the fine isn't as high until you are at least 10 over (at least in TX).

And, by the way, if you want to hear about a waste of a ticket, how 'bout this: "Failure to signal lane change". I had just pulled a legal U-turn (with my signal on), and I needed to come back across all three lanes, but the signal went off automatically (as I finished the U-turn and the steering wheel came back to center), and the cop tagged me for that. I should've fought it, but it was easier to pay the 80 bucks and take the 90 day probation.

S2000s have a big neon sign on the back that says: TICKET ME... PIG! It comes with the car. It's on anytime you are in the drivers seat.

next time I think I will just try to squeeze out a big fart when I get pulled over.

Maybe they'll find humor it that and forget about the ticket.

Next time, politely ask for a warning.
