Is there any difference room-wise between the AP1 and AP2?

I sat in an ap2 after owning a ap1 for a few months, and i didn't feel much difference. I am 6'4" with a 44" waist, very strong build. On a 2+ hr ride I start to feel it in my hips and lower back. I took off the hooks behind the seat so i could get another .5 inches of room. This helped a little, but another seat would help more. I have debated selling the car numorous times but i can never seem to commit to it. This car makes up for it's size ten fold. Even though it is small, you do get use to it. If i were to loose some weight it would be a no brainer, i would say get it.

this is like the millionth time this same type of thread has surfaced. 6'4" and I fit fine. 6'4" does seem to be about the tallest you can be for this car though...

Sorry, I searched and everything that came up was about fitting a part into the S2000.

I take it that ingress/egress would be harsh. I practically have to CRAWL out of my friend's 330CiC. Oh well, as long as I love the car, everything would be fine.

Just went and sat in my AP1 so I could give you a good discription. I'm 6'3 and about 245lbs (not fat, but not skinny either). Side to side is perfect, I have constant contact with both bottom seat bolsters (sp?), so there is almost no side to side movement for me. For leg room, it's not the most spacious car I've owned, but I can work gas, brake and clutch both comfortably and quickly. When I have my feet resting on the clutch (disengaged) and brake I have about 1.5" in clearance between my knees and the steering wheel. I use the shuffle method for steering so my hands don't get anywhere near my knees. I usually just pivot my right foot between the brake and the gas on my heel. For headroom, I have about 1.5" between the top of my noggin and the metal support bar for the top. This is all with the seat moved as far back as possible and reclined back as far as possible.

Not sure about the AP1 vs AP2 differences.

Like others have said, it's snug but not uncomfortable, and go check one out at the dealer.

Hope this helps.

Edited to add---For getting in and out...I just kinda bend over and flop into the seat...not to graceful. Getting out....use elbows to push off the steering wheel.

It was very helpful, thank you very much.

I take it that the seat is pushed as far back as possible?
