Default Fix for premature wearing of hood

I thought I'd maybe oughta better tell you guys about this little mod for stopping part of the tubular metal roof architecture wearing holes in your vinyl hoods (which I believe is a more significant issue on later MY cars).

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=686754

(Note: the 'Lizardskins' MTB fork protectors apparently work just as well as the chainstay/guard protectors. Some guys over here have fitted the protectors inside out on the not unreasonable basis that the outer more hardwearing side of the protectors are then against the tubular metal joint concerned and the softer inner are against the inside of the hood.)

Regards from here over the pond

^^^not a bad idea, I've found something to cover the that part, but it doesn't fit so snuggly. I would still add a pad to the roof, just to be on the safe side though.
