You're all welcome. If I knew how to start a group buy on these, I'd do it.

Thanks for posting this. I've sent it to my wife telling her it's what I want for X-mas.

I have the Torin Big Red one from Pep boys. But the Red version of that blue that comes with the two jack stands. It feels like I am maxing out the weight on it. It's light but just feels so puny and is hard to jack up the car. I need to pump it like 10 times and put a lot of weight into it when it gets near the top. Kinda scary, I hate it. I was just thinking about selling it and getting the craftsman. I know my S is about 2800 lbs and the jack is only good up to 3000. Could that be an issue?

it's probably not a good idea to get that close to the rated max. it will probably wear out the jack quicker and possibly (god forbid!) cause a malfunction. i'd go for a 2-ton jack which will have you using it at about 70% of it's max if you are lifting the s2000. much safer than the 93% you are using your jack at!

btw, i'm no mechanic or anything, so i could be totally wrong about jacks, but like you said, you're putting a lot of effort to get your car up with your current jack... that can't be good.

Thats what i was thinking. It is hard to raise the car IMO. My dad tried it and was like ah na thats fine. But I mean our S do weigh a lot more than my 2000 civic did. I'm just wondering if it is the jack or what. Here is a pic of the jack I got from Pep boys.

It's pretty small. Light as hell and nice, just worryes me. I mean I know I just jack the car up and set it on stands, but it's kinda hard to jack up....or im weak. I just cant fit any of our other jacks under the S. Even with blocks.

BTW: Is there a jack point in the rear of the car? When I go to put on my exhaust, where should I jack the car at so I can set the jack stands infront of the rear wheel? I just got my S a month ago and have not really looked into the points. I know there are two behind the front wheel and one infront of the rear wheels. But if I use the one infront of the rear wheels, how will i get a jack stand under there if the jack is. If that makes sense lol.
